Echoes is a four-part Irish drama miniseries based on the novel of the same name by Maeve Binchy. It was produced for Channel 4 by Working Title Films in association with RTÉ.

It's 3am and a comedian is having an off night. In a moment of desperation he begins to muse on love and life, his musings become the anchor to five stories of five isolated individuals. An expectant father waiting in a bar, an executive driving home, an astronaut in space, a young woman going for a late night swim and a singer waiting to go on stage are all experiencing a surreal moment of clarity.

Dave Hidie is a troubled man. Seeking closure and peace of mind following the trauma of family bereavement, he and his wife have tried to move on. New home, new job, new friends. Everything should be coming together - if not for the visions, the voices...and the feeling that someone, somewhere, is trying to tell Dave something...something that will have shatteringly life changing effect. Dave is is experiencing the echoes of something deep and dark that should, perhaps, be left well alone.

Echoes is a short film about a sex trafficker called Anya who is faced with a moral dilemma when she discovers that a young girl that she is trafficking (from Lithuania to London) is pregnant.

Through a remarkable recently discovered trove of period photographs of Galesburg, the small-town America of Sandburg's childhood - the horse carriages, the ice-man delivering ice, a Fourth of July celebration - is revived in vivid detail.
